Velirium International Mountain Biking Festival

Mont-Sainte-Anne will celebrate 20 years of mountain biking by holding the UCI
World Championships in 2010. The vacation spot has hosted the World Cup since
1991, and the area has become known as Eastern Canada’s mountain bike Mecca and
a classic on the UCI circuit. Vélirium—a three-weekend event created in 2003,
culminating with the World Cup—has become THE mountain bike festival in Canada.
The 2010 edition is going to be the best mountain bike event ever. No ifs, no
buts, no excuses.
Vélirium will take place from August 21 to September 5, 2010. The program
includes amateur runs (downhill, freeride, cross-country, and endurance), family
events with free races for the kids, cultural events including photo and video
exhibits, loads of fun, dancing every night, and, of course, the World
Championships from August 30 to September 5 to top off the festival!
Sea Otter Classic -

Next year will mark the twenty first anniversary of the largest cycling
festival and consumer trade show in North America. Sea Otter also marks the
start of the "season" for the cycling industry. Over five days, it includes
a wide variety of bike races and fun rides for every kind, level and age of
rider, an expo with more than 300 exhibitors, club zones, a product demo
area, a ride zone, stunt shows, access to the best teams on the race
circuit, kids activities and a bike playground.
Drawing over 50,000 spectators and nearly 10,000 athletes every year, the
Sea Otter Classic is the must-attend event of the year for athletes,
vendors, industry VIPs, cycling fans and enthusiasts. They will all converge
on Monterey this week, April 15-18, 2010, from all over the world, to watch
the best racers, compete against the best in the field, and check out the
year’s new products.
